hello
You've found your way to my brand new space, welcome!

I'm Lauren Elizabeth Lactation and Newborn Specialist, or the self proclaimed umbrella of support you may not know you need. Here you will find educational, individualized, and inclusive support to help with your transition to parenthood whether it be your first time and first baby or your last go around. But that's enough about business, let me tell you a little about myself.

I have worked with families as a postpartum doula for 6+ years now and I am most enthusiastic about holding babies. The newborn phase is so special, and too quickly passing that any chance to snuggle a frog-legged baby makes me ooze happiness. However, as much as I am down for being nap-trapped with a newborn, I also feel passionately about empowering confident parents. Hence why I chose to be apart of the village we all need to succeed as caregivers to our tiny humans.

When I am not trying to hold a baby, I am either working the front desk at Evergreen Health Collective, or I am at home finding ways to increase my homesteading knowledge so that one day (soon I hope!) I will be able to grow most of our food, chase after chickens, and tie up fresh-cut flowers to sell at our side-of-the-road farm stand. Until then, I bake, keep sourdough starter alive, tend to my plants, and chase after my daughters, whom I affectionately call "Dingle and Dangle". We also happen to have the worlds sweetest dog, Tela, who outweighs both kids and loves any chance to say hello to a human.

I believe in the goodness of people and the togetherness families truly need to raise children, today and all days to come.

An Anthology of Canadian birth stories
Read a collection of powerful birth stories from across the country. Curated by Doula Support Foundation in an effort to celebrate the human need to share our stories of childbirth.

In addition to awe-inspiring birth stories, this book has nuggets of valuable information from birthwork professionals across Canada, including a chapter about human rights and perinatal rights written by myself, Lauren Miller!

An Anthology of Canadian Birth Stories is a must read for those on their pregnancy journey, and those in early postpartum who are processing their own birth experience.

All proceeds go to Doula Support Foundation and help to support families with doula care who couldn't otherwise afford these services.
